Schedule

What does this event have to offer? How about a chance to live in a frontier fort, complete with blockhouse, tavern, church, and commander’s cabin, a bake oven, and live-firing range, and opportunities to practice your 18th c. living skills and bake bread, shoot your flintlocks at marks, learn/teach things such as comb & button making, moccasin making, games, etc…. John Conklin will conduct a school for our musicians If you complain that regular events don’t offer enough “authenticity” for you, this is the one you should not miss. Don’t worry about someone turning on the electric lights, there aren’t any. The only intrusive 21st c. stuff will be brought into the fort by us, and we won’t bring any. We will hold organized live shooting Saturday morning, and the possibility of a tactical problem or two is there for the afternoon. A mailing for this event will follow in February, but put this on your calendar, and if you have something you would like to teach, demonstrate or run at the event, contact Bob Cairns, robtcairns@cs.com, 1919 Yale Ave. NW., Canton, Ohio 44709 (330) 455-9722
