A weekend sewing workshop will be held on February 26-28, 2010. The location of the weekend will be beautiful Jackson County Ohio at the Harrison Conference Center located just north of the City of Jackson on Route 35. The conference center is a new facility complete with bunk rooms (with private baths), kitchenette and features a large stone fireplace in the conference area and beautiful country vistas to view from the large front porch. Class leaders are coming from the east (afar) to give us their insights into the world of 18th century sewing. We have begun to narrow our list of workshops to proper petticoats,bed gowns, proper caps & perhaps a fabric selection class. The fee for the class is being calculated and we’re working to make it as reasonable as possible in the hopes of attracting many participants from the northern and southern reaches of our department. More information will be available soon. We hope you will begin to think of the last of February next with sweet anticipation!
