The Friends of Monmouth Battlefield invites of the Brigade of the American Revolution, British Brigade & Continental Line and to participate in a major annual weekend commemoration of the Battle of Monmouth, sponsored by the 2nd New Jersey Regiment (BAR/CL) and the 43rd Regiment of Foot (BB). While this event isn’t expected to attract as many participants as the 225th reenactment, a larger than usual turn-out is expected since a number of Crown units have already committed themselves (Colonial Williamsburg’s UTR doesn’t conflict with Monmouth this year) and this is the CL Mid-Atlantic’s first battle re-enactment of the year. Come join us for a memorable, action-filled two-day event on the spacious and historic site of the original battle.
The park will provide wood/water/straw and other amenities. Felled limbs will be provided for those wishing to construct brush shelter. Units may arrive as early as 10 a.m. Friday and establish camp and remain until noon on Monday, if desired.

State Park Visitor Center is
located at 16 Business Route 33,
Manalapan, New Jersey, 7726.
(Alternate address: 16 State Route 33, Manalapan 07726).
From the West, NW, and SW Exit the NJ Turnpike at Exit 8 and proceed EAST on NJ Rte. 33 for 9 miles, 0.25 miles past the Mon. Co. 527 traffic light (“Sweetman’s Lane”) exit RIGHT on Business Rte. 33 (following brown sign to Monmouth Battlefield), Proceed 0.5 miles and turn LEFT into the park entrance.
From the NE Take the Garden State Parkway SOUTH to Exit 123 Take US Rte. 9 SOUTH past Mon. Co. Rte. 522 to NJ Business Rte. 33. Take Business NJ Rte. 33 WEST 1.5 miles (through the traffic lights for Freehold Raceway Mall and Wemrock Road) Just after Wemrock Road Turn RIGHT into the park entrance.
From the South Take US Rte. 9 to BUSINESS NJ Rte. 33. Take Business NJ Rte. 33 WEST 1.5 miles (through the traffic lights for Freehold Raceway Mall and Wemrock Road). Just after Wemrock Road turn RIGHT into the park.
From the Garden State Parkway Northbound Take Exit 100. Follow Route 33 WEST to the split between Bypass and Business routes 33. Take BYPASS 33 west past the Route 537 interchange. EXIT for Wemrock Road, turn RIGHT. At the first traffic light (Business Route 33) turn LEFT, Proceed 0.25 mile west, turn RIGHT into the Park entrance.
